Random Life Lesson #1

Today I learnt something, and it prompted me to keep a visual account of all other little life lessons still to come. I know there's more to come, but don't ask me how.
Here's what I learnt:

The best way to get something done is to not think about it whatsoever.
Don't consider it for a few days beforehand.
Don't think about whether or not you have time to do it.
Don't even write it down on a 'to-do' list.
Don't think about whether it fits into your schedule for the day,
whether you feel up for it, or whether you're ready for it.
Don't think about what time is best to start and what time you need to finish.
Especially don't calculate times. Never plan a time slot.
Don't think about what you need to get done before that.
In fact, scrap your priorities for the moment.
Don't consider what you'll wear, what music you'll listen to, or what you'll be thinking about while doing it.
Don't think about where you'll go, or whether you should bring a friend along.
Don't worry about whether it's too hot or too cold. These are not reasons, these are excuses. One day you will learn that they are two very different things.
Don't worry about whether it's raining or snowing. You might catch a cold, but it probably wont kill you.
Don't worry about what your mother, your brother, your sister, your best friend or your boyfriend is doing. Don't worry about what they might think either.
Don't worry about what anyone thinks, actually.
Don't look too far ahead into the future either. Don't worry about how you will feel or look afterwards, or what might happen to you in the process of doing it.
Chances are, everything will be okay.

If your mind and body are functioning enough to conceive an idea, your mind and body are sure as hell functioning enough to go through with it and do it.
"Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can also achieve." - Napoleon Hill.

Don't be one to wait around for a green light. What if it never changes? Change it yourself. Sometimes life is too short to think. Just go.

* I might add that I don't intend on people implying my little epiphany to serious issues. If you're about to make a serious decision that could impact your life and affect you physically, mentally or emotionally, please, by all means, for your sake and mine- do think about it. A lot.
